The German A1 Level course at Ghazala Institute is designed for complete beginners who wish to start their
journey in learning the German language. This course lays the foundation for basic communication skills,
vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structure essential for everyday use. It is ideal for students, professionals, or

Course Objectives

By the end of the A1 level, students will be able to:

  • Ask and answer simple questions (e.g., about name, age, nationality, profession)
  • Understand and use familiar everyday expressions
  • Interact in a simple way, provided the other person speaks slowly and clearly
  • Fill out simple forms and understand short written texts

Course Content

1. Listening:

  • Understand basic information like numbers, dates, time, prices
  • Follow short dialogues and announcements in everyday situations (e.g., at the station, market, or hospital)

2. Speaking:

  • Greetings and farewells
  • Self-introduction
  • Asking and answering basic personal questions
  • Ordering in a restaurant or shopping
  • Making appointments

3. Reading:

  • Read short texts such as advertisements, menus, timetables, and personal emails
  • Understand familiar names, words, and very simple sentences

4. Writing:

  • Fill out forms with personal details
  • Write short personal messages (e.g., postcards, simple emails)

5. Grammar Topics:

  • Personal pronouns (ich, du, er, sie, etc.)
  • Present tense of regular and irregular verbs
  • Basic sentence structure
  • Question words (wer, was, wo, wann, etc.)
  • Articles (der, die, das) and plurals
  • Prepositions with time and place
  • Negation (nicht, kein)
